Live Green Salad - Hrana Vieții

For this springtime period, I've prepared a simple salad recipe using only sprouts and green vegetables. Here's what you'll need for its preparation.

Salad Ingredients (1 serving):

  • 3 leaves of green lettuce (normal, valerian, or any other type)
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 100g white cabbage
  • A handful of arugula
  • 1/2 Fabio cucumber
  • 25g sunflower sprouts
  • Optional: You can add a few slices of green apple.

Dressing Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil (or sunflower oil)
  • Juice from 1/2 lemon
  • 4-5 basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Wash the lettuce and arugula thoroughly with cold water and let them air-dry.

In the meantime, you can peel and slice the avocado. Wash the cucumber with cold water; it can be consumed with or without the peel, depending on your preference. If not, peel it and cut it into cubes. Slice the cabbage in julienne style.

Now that all the ingredients are sliced, you can add them one by one to a salad bowl. Start with the lettuce and arugula, then add the avocado, cabbage, and sunflower sprouts. Optionally, you can add a few thin slices of green apple or other types of sprouts, such as broccoli sprouts, also from HRANA VIEȚII.

In a small bowl, put the 2 teaspoons of olive oil (or sunflower oil), and add the juice from half a lemon, 4-5 basil leaves, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix well and let it sit for a while to allow the composition to homogenize.

Pour the dressing over our lively green salad, mix all the ingredients well, and it's ready!
